Let the problem become a trifle
Now, you know how to influence your emotional state by being engaged upon submodalities. You can enhance nice recollections, weaken the unpleasant ones, silent your internal critic.
And now, think about something that poses a “problem” for you.
How it would be like if this problem turned into a trifle, would become a thing that you deal with so easily that you even don’t waste you time considering it...
First, think of some exceptionally easy for you activity, about something that you do often and the results of which are really good.
Recall the picture of this situation
Distinguish the submodalities of this picture; check the size of it, its colours, brightness, contrast, distance. Think if it is limited, moving if it has a depth, in what distance is it.
Become conscious of the feelings of pleasure, certainty and ease that accompany it.
Devote as much time as you need to distinguish particular submodalities (maybe sounds or other sensoric information will be important for you).
Now, as you mastered this picture, it would be good if you remembered it or saved somewhere its submodalities so that we could return to them in a while.
Now we come to the problem
Think about the situation which worries you and poses a problem for you.
Now, we are aiming at turning this problem into a trifle so that it does not limit you any longer.
Think about this situation now, recall its picture...
Distinguish (or better note down) all submodalities of this picture, ask yourself about its position, colours, brightness, contrast, distance, size...
I am curious how much these two pictures differ from each other. As I guess the differences are significant and they may concern the position, size or other features.
Now, when all submodalities are distinguished it’s high time we came to the point of the matter.
Think about a picture that is a representation of your “problem”, recall it and grant it with all submodalities of a trifle.
Transfer this picture to the place, in which the picture of a trifle exist, change its size, brightness, and colour. If it is necessary add a movement or depth or any other significant submodalities.
Now, when you are sure that the picture is in a proper place, spare some time to attach it. Keep it in this place for a while, “fasten” with imaginary drawing-pins or nails. From now on it will be its new permanent place.

Now, think about the situation we were engaged upon, and verify how much your feelings have changed. I’m sure that the feeling of an ease and lightness or even pleasure has emerged.
